Feed Store Manager

Ocala, FL

The World Equestrian Center located in Ocala, Florida is searching for a Feed Store Manager to join our team! 

The overall responsibility of the Feed Store Manager is to manage all operational aspects of a specialty retail store. Your primary duties are to support the Equestrian Operations in the day-to-day feed/bedding/stabling activities and support functions. Your primary duties include driving sales and profit, building the team, building customer loyalty, and leading execution of company standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage merchandise flow to insure adequate in-stock and inventory controls.
  • Responsible for tracking incoming orders.
  • Coordinate and supervise daily orders. Ensure deliveries are made efficiently.
  • Process information/merchandise/orders through Birchstreet System to ensure accurate accounting is completed.
  • Follow up on invoicing and payments.
  • Inventory control.
  • Operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store such as a dolly, hand-truck, forklift, computer.
  • Provides constant review of all operational processes and provides recommended changes ad solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Ability to complete and prioritize tasks on multiple concurrent projects within given timeframes.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential material.
  • Exceptional communication skills required to deal with potential and current clients along with all levels of the organization.
  • Creativity while working with customers and problem solving.
  • Fulfill duties as assigned by the director.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Able to work flexible hours and extended shifts as required and to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on strong Excel skills.
  • Able to carry out tasks independently and accurately.
  • Ability to manage time and energies in an efficient, effective, and organized manner.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft programs.
  • Works well in a team environment and can work with a diverse group of people.
  • Must be well organized and be able to multitask.
