
Preventative Maintenance Laundry Attendant
The Preventative Maintenance Laundry Attendant is responsible for inspecting, tracking and scheduling maintenance of laundry machinery as well as the washing of all hotel beddings and linen. This person is also responsible for the ironing and folding of various banquet and table linens.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative maintenance with a proactive approach to ensure a minimal amount of down time.
- Repairs equipment in a timely manner when it breaks and with quality repair work that will ensure that the equipment will continue to operate per manufacturer specifications.
- Performs all scheduled maintenance on a timely basis as required per manufacturer recommendations and laundry department policies.
- Follows all regulatory guidelines and safety procedures related to assigned tasks.
- Ensures that all equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Tracks and inputs all preventative maintenance.
- Clear laundry chute.
- Clean lint from dryers.
- Washing and folding towels, bathmats, pillowcases, face cloths, bed pads and bedspreads and napkins.
- Cleaning laundry room and equipment at end of shift.
- Help with stocking of linen shelves.
- Help clean guest rooms when need arises.
- Advise housekeeping supervisor when laundry chemicals are getting low.
- Any guest items found in chute are to be turned into Lost and Found immediately.
- Good teamwork and co-operation with all staff members.
- Perform projects assigned daily in response to Management/Supervisor request.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Laundry or Housekeeping experience preferred.
- Great attention to details.
- Able to follow basic instructions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
