
In-Room Dining Receptionist
The World Equestrian Center -Ocala is looking for an In-Room Dining Receptionist.
As an In-Room Dining Receptionist, you are the pivotal first point of contact in delivering an exceptional and luxurious in-room dining experience. You will receive and process guest orders with urgency, precision, and warmth, ensuring every interaction reflects Five-Star service standards. This role demands outstanding communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to anticipating guest needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage Guests: Answer and respond to all in-room dining calls with polished, engaging, and personalized greetings, adhering to brand voice and etiquette.
- Menu Guidance: Guide guests through the menu with confidence and product knowledge, offering thoughtful suggestions, upsells, and modifications based on dietary needs or preferences.
- Order Management: Accurately enter and confirm all orders in the POS system, coordinating with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely preparation and flawless execution.
- Communication: Proactively communicate service delays, special requests, or restrictions with clarity and empathy.
- Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items, seasonal changes, wine pairings, and special offerings.
- Service Follow-Up: Execute pre-call and follow-up procedures to confirm orders, delivery times, and satisfaction.
- Team Support: Support the In-Room Dining team by coordinating delivery timing, updating tray setups, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
- Guest Preferences: Monitor guest preferences and input notes to ensure personalized future service.
- Professionalism: Maintain a calm, composed demeanor under pressure, handling complaints or service recovery opportunities with professionalism and poise.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience: Previous experience in luxury hospitality or fine dining (in-room dining or call center preferred).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in POS systems (e.g., MICROS, Opera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Multitasking: Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills.
- Composure: Ability to remain calm, composed, and empathetic in guest-facing interactions.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English required; additional languages preferred.
- Ability to take direction and learn new skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under moderate pressure
Physical Requirements:
- Extended Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity to operate phone, keyboard, and headset.
- Flexible Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
