3rd Shift Security Officer

Ocala, FL

Position Summary:

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property at WEC. This role involves monitoring premises, responding to incidents, enforcing company policies, and collaborating with law enforcement when necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to learn, understand, and operate advanced Video Management and Access Control systems (Strong computer proficiency required; must be adept at using technology efficiently).
  • Effectively communicate critical information to team members, security personnel, and management with accuracy and clarity.
  • Deliver courteous, respectful, and professional interactions with guests, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, as operation of company-owned vehicles is required.
  • Physically capable of performing extended foot patrols across various environments.
  • Accurately prepare and submit digital reports, including shift activity logs, incident documentation, and maintenance requests.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screening.

 

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to pass background screening.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Satisfactory driving record (required to operate company-owned vehicle)
  • Professional Demeanor and Appearance
  • High Level of Integrity/Strong Work Ethic
  • Attention to detail.
  • CCTV and Access control experience
