Job Summary:

The Bell Attendant at The Equestrian Hotel plays a critical role in creating an exceptional arrival and departure experience. As one of the first impressions of our Forbes-level guest service, the Bell Attendant provides a warm, professional welcome while assisting with luggage handling, hotel orientation, and personalized guest support. The ideal candidate is polished, service-driven, and thrives in a luxury environment where every detail matters.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • · Greet all patrons with warmth and professionalism.
  • · Assist with loading, unloading, delivery, and storage of guest luggage.
  • · Provide hotel orientation upon request, or while escorting guests to their room. Highlight key hotel features and amenities to help maximize the guest’s experience
  • · Respond promptly to requests for room deliveries, amenities, and special services.
  • · Monitor the front drive and lobby areas, holding doors and offering assistance proactively while engaging with guests with a smile.
  • · Maintain secure and accurate records of luggage storage, tickets, deliveries, and retrievals.
  • · Resolve guest concerns gracefully, taking ownership and using creative problem-solving skills to ensure guest satisfaction. Engage leadership or other departments as appropriate.
  • · Monitor and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of property events, weather, ensuring guests are always aware of relevant happenings.
  • · Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion when handling guest requests, ensuring a secure and seamless experience.
  • · Follow all safety and security procedures.
  • · Maintain the cleanliness and organization of bell carts, storage space, desk, and lobby.
  • · Maintain appropriate professional boundaries in all guest interactions, ensuring that relationships remain strictly service oriented.
  • · Adhere to luxury service standards, reinforcing the hotel’s reputation for excellence. This includes meeting grooming and uniform standards along with refined guest interaction.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (8+ hours).
  • Regular use of hands, arms, and legs to lift, push, and pull.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds safely and repeatedly.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing or hospitality role (hotel experience preferred).
  • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of local attractions, dining, and events.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
