Fine Dining Server Assistant

Ocala, FL

The World Equestrian Center Ocala is looking for a Fine Dining Server Assistant to join our team. Assist Servers and fine dining restaurant team members in preparing for, executing, and completing service operations focusing on guest needs, table marking and resetting, and cleanliness of the dining room and other areas of restaurant.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assisting fine dining servers with water service and other beverage service, bread service, and clearing and setting tables

• Performing service with elegance and grace appropriate for fine dining expectations.

• Running food to guests when needed and delivering correct food to correct position numbers, on correct table numbers

• Preparing items for service such as citrus garnishes for water, filling ice bins, folding napkins, and other tasks necessary to execute service.

• Cleaning duties before, during, and after service, such as wiping down chairs and resetting the dining room for service.

• Ability to describe food and beverage menu with competence

• Ensuring quality check/control of items delivered to guests

• Communication with front of house/service team, and back of house/culinary team is imperative

• Completion of opening and closing side-work duties

• Maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance is required

• Assisting in keeping side stations stocked of items necessary to execute service

• Assists in keeping restaurant clean and neat on the inside and out

• Must observe good sanitation and safety procedures.

• Performs any other specific duties as assigned by management.

• Adheres to policies as set forth in associate handbook and department manual.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• Previous restaurant experience preferred. 

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

• Knowledge of proper service etiquette and standards.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Ability to take direction.
