
Bakery and Café Manager
The Bakery and Café Manager is responsible for leading all front-of-house operations for a high-quality bakery and café concept within the Event Center. This venue offers a curated selection of coffee, espresso, tea, pastries, croissants, gelato, chocolates, sandwiches and more, providing an exceptional experience for guests. The Manager ensures smooth daily operations, upholds service and quality standards, oversees financial performance, and fosters a positive team culture while driving sales and efficiency. Additionally, the Store Manager is responsible for barista training, ensuring that all team members are proficient in crafting high-quality coffee and espresso beverages.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Service Excellence
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring outstanding customer service and product presentation.
- Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to uphold quality and efficiency.
- Manage inventory and ordering of FOH supplies to ensure seamless service.
- Work closely with the culinary team to coordinate product availability and presentation.
Barista Training & Beverage Program
- Train and develop staff in barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and proper coffee brewing techniques.
- Ensure consistency in beverage preparation, upholding the highest quality standards.
- Stay updated on coffee trends, equipment maintenance, and product knowledge to enhance the bakery’s offerings.
- Conduct regular training sessions to refine skills and introduce new menu items.
Financial & Budget Management
- Oversee departmental financials, ensuring operations align with budget goals and revenue targets.
- Monitor sales, labor costs, and operational expenses, making data-driven adjustments to improve profitability.
- Assist in forecasting, cost control, and strategic planning to drive financial success.
- Implement pricing strategies and promotions to maximize revenue while maintaining quality and guest satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Accountability
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team dedicated to excellent guest experiences.
- Create and manage employee schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing levels.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and hold employees accountable for service and operational standards.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and growth.
Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities
- Oversee payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor regulations.
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, point-of-sale procedures, and financial reporting.

Qualifications & Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role within a café, bakery, or bistro setting.
- Strong knowledge of coffee, espresso drinks, and café-style service.
- Hands-on experience as a barista, with the ability to train and develop team members.
- Experience with financial oversight, budgeting, and cost control in a hospitality environment.
- Ability to manage high-volume service while maintaining quality and hospitality.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Passion for food, coffee, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
