Stirrups Lead Host

Ocala, FL

The World Equestrian Center located in Ocala, Florida is searching for a Stirrups Lead Host to join our team! 
Guests should be greeted with a warm and friendly demeanor. Host/Hostess should be knowledgeable of resort operations and suggest menu items when being seated. They should check with guests from time to time to assure their satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform role of “board runner,” which involves organizing wait times, deciding other hosts’ duties
  • and telling them where to seat guests
  • Maintain constant communication with MOD, FOH staff and Chef regarding large party seating, walkins and high volume of reservations to ensure smooth flow of service.
  • Assist in training, development and supervision of host team.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints and special requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Looking ahead to identify large parties and communicate opportunities for contracted events with
  • management.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and ensure host team is aware of property events
  • schedules/locations to assist with answering guest inquiries.
  • Organize special events in OpenTable, monitor deposits, etc.
  • Maintains a guest focus while performing duties.
  • Assumes responsibility for quality guests’ experience.
  • Welcome and greet guests.
  • Seating guest in a timely and welcoming manner
  • Inform the server about new guests in their section.
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant and hotel functions and services
  • Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Complete opening and closing side work.
  • Maintain clean and stocked host desk.
  • Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and
  • beverage service.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Thank the guests for their visit and invite them to return.
  • Assist servers in clearing and setting tables as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Must have exceptional grooming habits.
