General Accounting Cashier PT

The World Equestrian Center is seeking a General Cashier PT to join our Team!

The General Cashier’s role at the property will be to ensure all deposits and cash handling is in compliance with property standards. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all records and files and ensure they are complete and filed properly. Ensure property is following cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain all records and files and ensure they are complete and filed properly.
  • Make daily rounds to pick up drop envelopes from required locations.
  • Look in each drop envelope for cash and/or coins.
  • Update Cash over/under spreadsheet for all manual drops.
  • Enter manual drops into the Smart Safe at the hotel.
  • Issue cash over/under report.
  • Prepare bank deposit for rejected bills.
  • Monitor and follow-up with department managers to endure timely responses on cash over/under variances.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities asked by the property Controller or Director of Finance, based upon department needs.
  • Ensure property is following cash handling procedures.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Able to work flexible hours and extended shifts as required and to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Able to carry out tasks independently and accurately.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time and energies in an efficient, effective, and organized manner. Strong communication and presentation skills.
